Applies to: Agencies and resellers setting prices for their own customers
How should I price my agency offer, and when is a low price like $97 a month okay?
Votel recommends pricing your offer on the value you provide, not on your cost or the cost of the software. Software and technology are cheap; solving problems is what people pay good money for.
Work backwards from what you need, for example how many clients it takes before you can hire your first support person. If you sell $97 a month seats and try to serve a hundred clients yourself, you cannot afford to hire help and you cannot grow.
If you solve expensive, valuable problems, consider prices such as $497, $997, $2,000 or $5,000 a month. You may not start at that price; you can walk a customer up a value ladder, for example with add-ons.
The exception is a simple, single-service product that anyone can use, such as one AI social media posting system. A price of $97 or $297 a month can work there, because the support, training and explanation it needs are small. Do not give people a platform of dozens of tools at that price.
